News and Such…
Hello Everyone!
Welcome to our own personal website.
Thank you everyone who came out on Sunday to the Rose Theatre, we had a great time performing, it was a great debut show.
We’re currently trying to get booked, so if anyone has any shows and are looking for a band to fill a spot, we’re currently searching.
Physical copies of our EP are just around the corner, all the artwork is finished and we’re just organizing a printing company now.
And I’ve begun demoing some new tracks we’re writing, listen for them at any of our upcoming shows.

Welcome to the launch of animatist.ca!
Animatist is a band based in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. The band consists of three very talented musicians: Brent O’Toole the band’s founder on Guitar, Jon Westwood on Bass, and Ian Hinds on Percussion. Among their many influences are: Air, Beck, Bjork, Bedouin Soundclash, The Chemical Brothers, Elbow, Easy Star All-Stars, Elliott Smith, The Flaming Lips, Fleet Foxes, Gorillaz, Grant Green, Jane’s Addiction, Jimmy Smith, The Mars Volta, Massive Attack, Nick Drake, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, The Shins, Sigur Ros, Smoke Me Scotty, The Velvet Underground, The Vulcan Dub Squad, The Wires, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Among these pages, you will find samples from each track of their debut album published by, Bassment Studios, an indie label.
